About us

Ian White

Ian started training dogs back in 1992 and very quickly Ian succeeded in producing a Field Trial Champion Retriever Minstead Morse (named after the famous detective)

He then went on to produce a number of Field Trial Champions and within a short space of time was producing winning dogs all over the country.

As a trial judge, Ian has picked up a wealth of experience in the trailing World that he is keen to pass onto others, who are looking at entering the gundog World.

Judith White

Seeing Ian progress and taking a keen interest in the gundogs, in 2001 Judith decided to try entering Gundog Trials herself.

Under the careful guidance of Ian, Judith took to Gundog handling like a duck to water with her first dog Minstead Cracka and in her first Working Test in 2001 she beat some of the best names in Retriever Trialing World and won her first Open Working Test, held at Buxton, Derbyshire, an incredible achievement!!!!

There was no stopping Judith and working very closely as a husband and wife team, in 2004 they purchased a promising young Lab called Blackfoot Scout and this as they say is where the story really starts as in 2007 Judith and Scout qualified for the Retriever Championships at Windsor.

Although not being placed Judith and Scout have qualified for the Retriever Championships three times and is now retired after an incredible career.

Judith and Ian, not content to sit still, have recently been working with another young lab called Lewis who became a Field Trial Champion in 2011 and qualified for the Championships which is an incredible achievement. There are more promising young dogs coming through to carry on the Minstead Gundog legacy including Minstead Delvin who has had a wonderful first season.
